This is how the story ends and begins again
Born from the sun, we never forget, we never forgive
White gives way to green, wind gives way to rain
Our hearts relieved a new chapter written
So much we want to do, so many opportunities
Not knowing where I begin and where this ends
Alone and unaware, stumbling like a newborn into the world
Where some seasons pass and others remain

Rude Awakening
06:32
|
|
||
"We got a problem, you and I"
He said to the mirror,
"We don't see eye to eye
and we're seeing it clearer"
"There's other people involved now,
You must understand somehow"
You are changing away from me
I don't think I like what I can see,
I got a new friend, "Myself" is his name
Without his help things will just be the same
Somebody's gotta do something
This place is a mess
And you don't look capable
I must confess
This house looks like a "lost and found"
And no matter cause nobody is coming around
You are changing away from me
I don't think I like what I can see,
I've got a new friend, "Myself" is his name
Without his help things will just be the same
Gotta get away from here,
Me and myself, we gotta get away
Who is that, talking in my head?
I don't wanna hear it!
Why are you talking to me?
I don't wanna hear it!
There's other people involved now,
You must understand...somehow

Leaf Motif
06:12
|
|
||
Time for the leaves to fall
Floating into the ground
(And) contemplate this spiraling journey
Into the red and brown
As we hit the ground
Unable to realize
If we were just past our time
The wind calls my name
Still felt put together
So full of life
As we fall forever
Stare at the clouds
And the rain falls over me
Awaiting the march (of seasons)
The time to be reborn
Through the days standing still
Don't worry for me anymore
I'm no more than a dream
Another leaf falling down
Such a weight on my shoulders
So white and so cold
Into rivers into tears
And shouts of pure joy
In searing heat caressed your hand
For many days I lied down
Waiting for you to grow
Only to fall on me again
The wind calls my name
Still felt put together
So full of life
As we fall forever
Stare at the clouds
And the rain falls over me
Awaiting the march (of seasons)
The time to be reborn
Through the days I stood still
Don't worry for me anymore
I'm no more than a dream
Another leaf falling down

Lullaby
04:21
|
|
||
Blood red over porcelain white smashed and splattered
Comes with the territory, comes with being alive
Feeling so confused you don't know wrong from right
Since you're damned if you do I rather don't
But you're damned if you don't and I cannot do
The suspense is killing you as it kills me
The world doesn't forget much less forgives

Bonfires
03:21
|
|
||
I see shadows dancing around the bonfires
Glowing red round our hands holding tight
If the sound of the sea were to be a song
It would sing about how much I want to laugh
To love, to lose, to feel, to rejoice at being alive
And to never forget that I make myself complete

Unfair
06:15
|
|
||
Here we are again me and I
At the same crossroads as before
As the fires around us die down
Decisions against the clock
Our hearts are racing towards the sun
New day's dawn so full of hope
A kaleidoscope of emotional outbursts
Struggling against the words we spoke
I swear I cannot take another Fall
And all the pain that goes along
Tears flow into mighty rivers
Words turn into frail butterflies
As beautiful as lonely as decayed
Flying idly with deathly intent
Descending slowly wings are trembling
Towards darkness ever onwards
We fail to get really involved
We fail to distance ourselves
We fail to forgive fail to forget
We fail to see our horrors untold
This stillborn feeling cannot be brought to life
The inability to cope with those around us
Consumed by the need to know wrong from right
Even if it doesn't change a thing... about you... or me
Bodies rust together on this unfair world
Minds that melt into thousands of regrets
Killers in the morning lovers in the dark
What defines our sanity addicted to drama
We fail to get really involved
We fail to distance ourselves
We fail to forgive fail to forget
We fail to see our horrors untold
Again I failed to even notice
My body collapsing to the floor
As the curtain draws to a close
Seasons came to pass

Seasons Came to Pass
01:45
|
|
||
Summer's not the start and winter's not the end
Spring is not about joy and autumn's prime for tears
Leaves that fell are meant to grow and rise again
What happens between me and I only you know

Far from Coincidence
04:16
|
|
||
Woke up this morning with the sun on my face
Pastel paintings on the walls of my room
Light beams dancing on the covers of my bed
Stopping to catch a breath in the space you used to be
This is far from coincidence
Connected in random moments
A functional dysfunction
Becomes a repeated occurrence
I stand isolated from the thought of my being
Unable to break the ice around my heart
Is there a reason I should be listening to myself again
When I know by nightfall my world will be dead once more
This is far from coincidence
Connected in random moments
A functional dysfunction
Is a repeated occurrence
Take my hand as I walk into the great unknown
I’ll see you on the other side smiling
I’ll see your tears aren't exactly real
Take my hand we’ll wake from the world

Despair
05:33
|
|
||
I can feel how this world is unraveling
Dreams dying to be free from death
Duty marking the spot where passion is
Killing silently denying joy instantly
Few can change the world
And less decide to risk it
When all is said and done
These scars won't heal at all
A light that shines bright can lead you astray
All hope in the world is there to fade away
And you know there is no faith where to hide
Who are we to judge what's wrong or right
Hear the clock ticking devouring the hours away
In distress extinguishing the colors around us
Only whispers and echoes reaching out to the sky
Once we were dust at dawn we shall be reborn again
I tried to change the world
I decided it was worth it
And all was said and done
These scars won't heal at all
A light that shines bright can lead you astray
All hope in the world is there to fade away
And you know there is no faith where to hide
Who are we to judge what's wrong or right
The world is a canvas painted with tears and blood
Strokes of genius above the confusion that reigns us all
Where is the creator of this wretched masterpiece
Of random traces, twisted faces, endless dreams breaking

Winds of Dread
03:40
|
|
||
A single tear races down perfect skin
So white so cold so broken like me
Waving goodbye to an empty stare
Snowy words that fell on deaf ears
Never had the guts to tell you
How much you matter to me
Now I can only look at you
Walking away from me
The moon rises over empty plains
Filling my heart with winds of dread
I know for sure today is not tomorrow
I'll feel the same as I drown in sorrow
Never had the guts to tell you
How much you matter to me
Now I can only look at you
Walking away from me
Never had the guts to tell you
How much of you I can see in me

Farewell
03:32
|
|
||
Counting the raindrops as they fall to the ground
Blue as the gray skies opening downwards
Sighing my hand trembling my chest heaving
Your picture standing by the window all alone
Makes me wonder if after everything you still miss me
|
||||
12. |
|
|||
Born from the sun, this was meant to last more than just a flutter
As the seasons came to pass and the world's weight shifted
From tired shoulders into the hearts of those who were ailing
Hope forever lost in the currents of life all that remains just a glimmer
But my heart knows this and knows it well for it has suffered
Felt joy, felt pain, felt happiness, tasted defeat, basked in its glory
That who was once lost can always come back to us
For our actions shape the world and our inaction does as well
And even with a heart broken and tears in my eyes
I needed to tell you, this is where I end and where this story begins
